Join Us For Our 10th Annual Dinner!

We cordially invite you to join us for our 10th Annual Dinner on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Ten years ago, we had a vision of building a strong community on the southeast side that would stand against unfair wages and working conditions. With the help of Father Carl, we were able to establish Centro de Trabajadores Unidos and till this day, we firmly hold this vision and continue to work towards a strong local economy with dignity and respect. We have exciting milestones coming our way with the new developments of our building, cooperative initiatives, and civic engagement and organizing projects. We know that “la union hace la fuerza / unity makes us strong,” and therefore, on the eve of our 10th year anniversary, we invite you to join us to continue building this legacy. We hope that you will be able to join us for a night of dinner, music (with Sonora Dinamita!) and dance as we celebrate our successes of the past year.

Doors open at 5PM. Dinner will be served from 5:30PM – 6:30PM.

Over the last year we focused heavily on leadership development and capacity building with our members and took on new organizing campaigns to hold local employers and elected officials accountable to the workers in our communities. Every little bit of support will help with our continued efforts to increase outreach to workers and families from communities across Southeast Chicago and the South Suburbs.
